Synthetic preservatives are man made ingredients that keep makeup fresh clean and bacteria free. Synthetic preservatives are known sensitizers. Jane Iredale’s minerals are inert and natural and therefore don’t need any synthetic preservatives to keep them fresh. Micronized minerals are derived from rocks (sometimes grown in factories) and a rock can’t go off.
