Answer

What is the difference between mineral powders and mineral oils?

9/15/2007 12:00:00 AM

Mineral oil is a mixture of hydrocarbons obtained from petroleum and is therefore an organic substance. Minerals and the elements from minerals, such as titanium dioxide originate in rocks (some are even grown in laboratories) and are inorganic or inert. That means that they cannot support bacteria activity – an important advantage with mineral powders especially for those with rosacea, acne or patients recovering from facial surgery.
